Great to see so many like-minded people doing crazy things in our woods and field.

A HUGE THANK YOU for your combined generosity of donations and purchases.. We raised £433 which will be gift-aided to the Multiple Sclerosis Society. That's an all time record for our summer event!!!!

The photo gallery has captured some of the fun and award winners.

Thanks for your support.

Ray & Christine

The competitors ...

Paul Carlier/Andrea Weston
Delayed arrival but these regular supporters soon got into the swing of things after missing last year. Andrea took the silver medal for the Time/Navigation Trial and made a significant contribution to your yummy lunch with a homemade quiche (with eggs donated by Longfield chickens).

Ally/Kirsty Keyes
Ally was last year's Champion and was just pipped into second place overall this year. Second fastest on the Treasure Hunt was her best result.
Kirsty had a storming start by finding all the treasure tubes in 53 minutes, taking home the "Gold" medal and beating mum by one minute!

Sylvia/Robert Price
Our Milton Keynes friends cast aside their difficult geocaching day on Friday, quickly assumed silly mode and put in some fine performances. Most notable was a win on the newly introduced Grub Quiz which interrupted everyone's lunch. Robert took home the "Bronze" for his Silly Walking.

Melanie Nel/Ray Bashford
A steady run of good performances by Ray took him to the overall "Bronze" medal which included a "Silver" on Silly Walking and a second in the pole distance. Mel grabbed the "Bronze" on the pole distance. Mel also donated fairy cakes for our feast and seeds for the imprisoned chickens.

Peter Hayes
Ever smiling, regular attendee from distant Hampshire. Presented with a "Bronze" for his Time/Distance efforts.

Grahame McCord/Gilly Ryan
Late appearance from Grahame and a cameo from Gilly, but so good to see them. A classy "Gold" on the Time/Navigation for Grahame.

Gary/Dan Thurlow, Julie Turner
A return of last year's newbies and a string of good performances between them, their best being the "Bronze" on the Treasure Hunt.
I would have loved to have awarded Gary a special medal for his eggcellent "tossed chicken" repairs.

April/Michael/Isobel/Ellie Barclay
Long established friends and happy family who we finally attracted to the event. Think they enjoyed it, particularly the younger ones. Many thanks to Isobel and Ellie who took most of the photographs and were presented with "Spirit of the Event" medals.

Olive Smith/Jean Farrance
Senior geocachers: "Quite Near" Olive from Little Totham and friend Jean from Rayleigh. No problem in keeping up with the younger set. Olive/Jean deservedly won the "Gold" metal for the distance event with an error of a mere one centimetre!

Maureen Ward/Margaret Hardy/Lai Chung
Ladies from the gym who arrived late as they got lost trying to find us! Nonetheless soon settled into alternative gymnastics with Lai chicken tossing to a "Bronze" medal.

Jane Walden/Dave Walden
Gobsmacked when two "unknown" helmeted bikers turned up! LOL. A "Bronze" for our hairdresser Jane on the quiz and a tossing "Silver" for Dave.

Gina Hollick/Rob Roebuck
Rally friends more accustomed to hot cars than hot trainers on a hot day. Gina was a "Gold" star for her perfect Silly Walking and Rob was awarded a quiz "Silver" after being out-Priced on the tie-decider. BUT after scoring Sexathon points on five of the sex events, GINA HOLLICK was our overall Sexathon Champion. Well Done!

Steve/Maryann Lobb
Recently reunited with Steve/Maryann after many years. I used to navigate Steve on rallies; the last time being October 10, 1976 (!!) when we won the Britvic Rally in his Opel Ascona. Seems like Mary is the family victor these days with a "Gold" medal for chicken tossing - a mere 1.5 cms from the target. Steve didn't go home empty handed though - a "Bronze"

Ken Larking
Long time friend and supporter of our causes. Think he took home a doggy bag of leftovers eventhough he doesn't have a dog.

Chickens
Miserable for being locked up all day but we didn't want them upset by the Chicken Tossing competition.

Special Mention to:

Christine
Head of Catering.

Ron Levy & Daisy
5-star BBQ Chef and contributor to preparing the Longfield grounds for the day. Later brought along Daisy the dog who dug an enormous crater in the ménage (trying to reach rabbits that burrow underneath?).

Absent Friends:

Grahame/Jean Points and Richard/Tricia Edwards and Len/Wendy Graves
Many thanks for the donations.

Demised Friends:

Tossed Chicken
Has now been put to sleep and we are saving for a new one for next year.

Here's the full results table. There's probably loads of errors, but who cares in the aid of fun?
Don't ask me how the medals were awarded, it's all too complicated!
Ellie and Isobel Barclay each received a Spirit of the Event Medal for having fun and taking photographs.
